SM&W

Requests for Special Morale & Welfare (SM&W) funds must either be associated with a function to be held at the Hap Arnold Club or for a function at an alternate site catered by the Club. Currently, the SM&W fund is authorized to reimburse out of pocket expenses in support of functinos such as, but not limited to, retirements, change of commands and commander’s calls.

Mandatory use of the Hap Arnold Club simplifies accounting procedures and reduces incidents of lost receipts and late reimbursement submissions. This new procedure also eliminates advance use of personal funds and ensures comliance with guidelines in AFI 34-201 AFRC Supplement, Ch 12.4, Permissible Expenditures.
